Unveiling the Mystique: Exploring the World of Best Shiny Pokémon
Shiny Pokémon first appeared in the Silver, Gold, and Crystal games. In later games, the chances of finding one got a little better, but it’s still pretty rare. So, if you want a shiny, you need lots of patience.
In Pokémon Sword & Shield, it’s still not easy, but there are tricks to improve your chances. If you complete your Pokédex and get the Shiny Charm, your odds get a bit better. You can also do something called the Masuda breeding method by having Pokémon from different places. That can help too.
And on April 13th, 2023, Casey Coates updated this list with even more cool info about the best shiny Pokémon in the games.
Shiny Tinkaton
Tinkaton is a special Pokémon from Generation IX. It’s a Fairy and Steel type. Tinkaton and its evolution line, starting with Tinkatink, look like little dwarves or gnomes. They’re really good at knocking Corviknight, a bird Pokémon, out of the sky by throwing rocks at them. That’s why Tinkaton’s hammer is silver and blue.
When Tinkaton becomes shiny, its hammer starts to look rusty, but everything else stays the same. It’s like Tinkaton has been working really hard with its trusty hammer. Some Pokémon fans think this change might be related to Corviknight’s shiny form, but it’s just a guess.

Shiny Lechonk
Lechonk is a cute Normal-type Pokémon that first showed up in Generation IX. People really love Lechonk because it’s a round, small piggy that’s just adorable. This little piglet is always on the hunt for yummy food, so it’s strong with muscles instead of being chubby.
Normally, Lechonk and its evolved form, Oinkologne, have colors like black and brown, which are like real hogs. But when they turn shiny, the black parts become pink, just like how we often think of pink pigs.

Shiny Klawf
Klawf is a tough Rock-type Pokémon that made its debut in Generation IX. It was one of the first Pokémon introduced in the games Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, which are all about these special huge Pokémon called Titans. In those games, Trainers have to beat a bunch of these Titans to complete the story.
Now, when Klawf turns shiny, it changes from red to blue. It’s kind of like how blue crabs look, which you can find along the east coast of North America and the Atlantic Ocean. People really like blue crabs, especially in Maryland, where they even made them the state crustacean.
Shiny Cetitan
Cetitan is an Ice-type Pokémon that you can find in Generation IX. It’s what Cetoddle becomes when you use an Ice Stone on it. Cetitan has five horns, and the one at the front is super important because it helps it do icy stuff, like making things freeze and gathering ice power.
Normally, Cetitan is white and gray with a little touch of pink. But when it turns shiny, it gets even cooler. Now, it’s still gray, but the white parts turn black, and the pink turns into orange. This makes it look very different from the regular Cetitan, and it’s really eye-catching!

Cool Paradox Pokémon from the Future
Paradox Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet are super interesting. They’re like distant cousins of our regular Pokémon. What’s really cool is that Paradox Pokémon can be from way in the past or way in the future. For instance, Volcarona’s ancient relative is called Slither Wing, and its future relative is Iron Moth.
Now, in Violet, there are special Future Paradox Pokémon, and they’re all metal and robot-like. The normal ones already have some shiny chrome parts on them, but when they turn shiny, it’s like they didn’t finish painting them, and they get even shinier! These Future Paradox Pokémon are some of the shiniest Pokémon you’ll ever see.

Shiny Galarian Zigzagoon
Zigzagoon is a Normal-type Pokémon from Generation III. But in Generation VIII, it got a new version called Galarian Zigzagoon, which is both Normal and Dark type. These new versions, called regional variants, make old Pokémon look different and have new abilities. Sometimes they even evolve into new forms, like how Zigzagoon turns into Obstagoon.
Galarian Zigzagoon looks kind of like the rock band Kiss and also a European badger. When Galarian Zigzagoon turns shiny, it goes from black and white to red and light blue. This change makes all the different evolutions of Galarian Zigzagoon look really special compared to the regular Zigzagoon.
Shiny Emboar – A Hot Surprise!
Emboar is a Fire/Fighting-type Pokémon from Generation V. That generation had a lot of Fire-types. Emboar didn’t become very popular because, even though its first form, Tepig, was cute, it turned into yet another bipedal Fire/Fighting type starter.
But here’s the cool part: if you’re patient and get Emboar’s shiny version, you’ll be in for a treat! Its usual fiery look changes to blue flames and fur, making it look super awesome. So, even though Emboar isn’t picked as often as other starter Pokémon, it has one of the best shiny forms out there!
Shiny Yveltal – A Mighty Change!
Yveltal is a legendary Pokémon that’s both Dark and Flying type. It first came into the Pokémon world in Generation VI and was a big deal because it was on the cover of Pokémon Y. Yveltal is a pretty scary Pokémon because it can take away life with its powers. Xerneas, its counterpart, can bring life back, so they have this cool life-and-death thing going on.
When Yveltal turns shiny, it goes from being black to white, and its body gets a bit redder. Its eyes turn a piercing blue, which makes it look even scarier and cooler. Some Pokémon fans even think shiny Yveltal looks like bacon, which makes it a fun choice for a food-themed team!

Shiny Zygarde – A Colorful Surprise!
Zygarde is a legendary Pokémon with Dragon and Ground types. It came around in Generation VI and is part of a group called the “aura trio” along with Yveltal and Xerneas. Zygarde has different forms depending on how many cells it has: 10%, 50%, and Complete. The 10% form looks like a dog, the 50% form is like a snake, and the Complete form resembles a mech soldier.
Regular Zygarde is pretty cool with its green and black colors, but its shiny version is a neat change. Shiny Zygarde becomes white and teal, which is a less common color combo and makes it look a bit ghostly, but still awesome!
Shiny Rayquaza – A Legendary Hero!
Rayquaza is a legendary Pokémon with Dragon and Flying types. It first appeared in Generation III and is super famous. It’s the star of Pokémon Emerald. In Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, you can catch Rayquaza and even ride it up to space to battle Deoxys. Rayquaza also helps stop fights between Groudon and Kyogre.
Normally, Rayquaza looks awesome in green, but when it turns shiny, it becomes black, which is even cooler, especially after it mega evolves. Shiny Rayquaza even showed up in the Pokémon anime, playing a big part in the 18th Pokémon movie called “Hoopa and Clash of Ages.”
Shiny Vaporeon – A Water Wonder!
Vaporeon is a Water-Type Pokémon from way back in Generation I. It’s one of the cool evolutions of Eevee, and you can make it happen by using a Water Stone. People also call Vaporeon the “Bubble Jet Pokémon.” Along with Flareon and Jolteon, Vaporeon was one of the first special “Eeveelutions” introduced in Pokémon.
Regular Vaporeon looks nice with light blue and dark blue on its head. But when it turns shiny, it becomes a bright light purple with dark purple marks around its head. Many people think shiny Vaporeon is one of the most beautiful shiny Pokémon!
